How do I trim an audio file on a Mac?
Place the clip on a timeline, drag its edge to the point you want, and export. The edit applies to the clip rather than the file on disk, so the original recording is never rewritten. PX7 Audio Edit works this way by default.
How do I add a fade-in or fade-out to audio on a Mac?
Drag the fade handle at the start or end of a clip; the curve is drawn on the waveform so you can see the length instead of typing a number. Crossfades between overlapping clips work the same way.
Can I combine multiple audio files on a Mac?
Yes — place them on separate tracks of the same timeline, overlap or sequence them as needed, and export the full mix. Volume, pan, mute and solo are available per track.
