Batch conversion without changing the originals

Several outputs per source

Create a WAV master, AAC copy and lossless archive in the same run. Each output has its own format and settings.

Broad input support

Open the audio formats supported by macOS, including WAV, FLAC, MP3, Ogg Opus, AIFC, AU, AMR, AC-3, Wave64 and Sound Designer II.

Finder integration

Use Open With, drag files onto the app icon or add them inside Convert. Duplicate files are detected before conversion starts.

PCM and compressed output

Export WAV, AIFF and CAF at integer or 32-bit floating-point depth. AAC, Apple Lossless and FLAC are also supported.

Sample rate and dither

Preserve the source rate or convert from 8 to 192 kHz. TPDF dither is applied automatically when reducing integer bit depth and can be disabled per output.

Metadata controls

Inspect embedded tags and choose whether to preserve or remove them for each output.

Folders and filenames

Keep the source folder structure or write everything to one folder. Build filenames from recipe, format, sample-rate, quality and channel tokens.

Channel conversion

Keep the source layout, convert to mono or stereo, extract Left and Right, or create Mid and Side files. Surround downmix uses the file's channel layout.

Long files and parallel work

Audio is streamed in bounded chunks, and up to four outputs can run at the same time.

Output checks

Convert verifies codec, sample rate, channels, bit depth and duration. It also decodes the end of each file to detect a truncated export.

Safe writes

You choose the destination. Existing files are not overwritten, and failed or cancelled jobs leave no partial export behind.

Keyboard and VoiceOver

Add files with ⌘O, start the batch with ⌘↩ and cancel active work with Escape. The native interface supports keyboard navigation and VoiceOver.
