Finder integration

Use Open With, drag files onto the app icon or add them inside Convert. Duplicate files are detected before conversion starts.

PCM and compressed output

Export WAV, AIFF and CAF at integer or 32-bit floating-point depth. AAC, Apple Lossless and FLAC are also supported.

Sample rate and dither

Preserve the source rate or convert from 8 to 192 kHz. TPDF dither is applied automatically when reducing integer bit depth and can be disabled per output.

Long files and parallel work

Audio is streamed in bounded chunks, and up to four outputs can run at the same time.

Output checks

Convert verifies codec, sample rate, channels, bit depth and duration. It also decodes the end of each file to detect a truncated export.

Safe writes

You choose the destination. Existing files are not overwritten, and failed or cancelled jobs leave no partial export behind.

How do I convert FLAC to a compressed format on a Mac?
Add the FLAC files, choose an output, and convert — sample rate, bit depth and channels are set per deliverable. PX7 Audio Convert writes WAV, AIFF, CAF, AAC, Apple Lossless and FLAC. It does not export MP3; AAC at 96 to 320 kbps is the modern equivalent and plays everywhere MP3 does.
How do I convert WAV to M4A on a Mac?
Choose AAC or Apple Lossless as the output and the result is written as an .m4a file. AAC quality is selectable from 96 to 320 kbps; Apple Lossless keeps every sample.
Can I convert multiple audio files at once?
Yes, and one source can produce several outputs in the same run — for example a lossless master and a compressed copy — each with its own sample rate, depth and metadata settings.
How do I change the sample rate of an audio file?
Pick a target rate from 8 to 192 kHz, or keep the source rate. Dither is applied automatically as TPDF when reducing bit depth on lossless output, and can be switched off per deliverable.
Can I convert stereo audio to mono on a Mac?
Yes. Channel conversion is set per deliverable, so the same source can produce a stereo version and a mono version in one pass.
Can I convert audio without uploading it?
Yes. Conversion runs entirely on your Mac, and no account is required. Your audio is not sent to PX7 Digital or anywhere else.
